HOW TO DECLUTTER TEN IN TEN (#declutterteninten)

If you are reading this article, you may have followed the challenge that I created on Instagram –  Declutter Ten in Ten  (#declutterteninten) or maybe decluttering is just something you need to do.

Spring is a popular time to declutter but often, we have a big splurge then leave everything to build back up again!

Just before we moved house, I discovered Marie Kondo and her book changed my life.  I totally look at things differently now.  I’ve never been a big spender but her book made me spend even less and also made me realise just how little we need in our lives.

She also runs a course for anybody who wants to change their life which you can access here.

The key to decluttering is to keep on top of it and make it a way of life.  However, over the last 12 months with decorating and renovating our house, I have got out of the decluttering habit and our home, although not full of clutter, feels like it needs decluttering a little.

Therefore, I came up with a simple system to help myself get back on top of things and today I will share with you how to ‘declutter ten in ten’ so that you can start today to get back on top of your home.

How to Declutter Your Home Fast

HOW TO DECLUTTER YOUR HOME FAST

Want to declutter your home fast? Feeling overwhelmed? I know how you feel!

It’s actually easier to declutter your home than you think.  It’s one of those jobs that we tend to put off because the thought of it is usually very much worse than the reality.  Or simply, we just don’t know where to start.

I have never liked clutter.  When I became a mom, the clutter seemed to pile up even more and the thought of clearing it just seemed like a huge mountain to climb.  The more stuff we accumulated, the more got shoved into cupboards and drawers!

Everything I read talked about spending 30 days decluttering….. that’s a whole month!  I have tried these decluttering challenges before and I lose momentum and don’t reach the end of the task so I feel deflated.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I will always look for the easiest and quickest way to do something, so spending a month decluttering my home wasn’t an option.  I want it done now!

So if you want to declutter your home, but you’re feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone!

Today I will show you how to declutter your home fast. This means:

  1. You will believe you can do it
  2. It will be easy for you to actually get started
  3. You will actually finish
  4. There will be time to do it more regularly

So, are you in?
